The Bike Studio is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including riders who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, have limited mobility or dexterity, or use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. We treat accessibility as part of running the shop properly, not as an afterthought.
We aim to meet the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
We believe this site is broadly consistent with those guidelines, and we have not yet completed a formal independent audit. Some areas may not fully conform, and we describe the ones we know about below. We would rather tell you that plainly than claim a level of conformance we have not verified.
Steps taken so far include: writing the pages with proper headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate them; making every interactive control reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator; providing text descriptions for meaningful images; sizing buttons and links for people with limited dexterity; checking colour contrast between text and its background; labelling every form field and showing form errors as text rather than by colour alone; and honouring the operating-system setting that reduces motion and animation.
If any part of the online booking form is difficult or impossible for you to use, you never have to use it. You can book exactly the same service, at the same price, by calling (562) 371-5967 or emailing Thebikestudio247@gmail.com, and we will take your details and set up the work order for you.
Parts of this site rely on services built by other companies, and we do not control their code. The scheduling calendar and the service-area map are both provided by outside vendors. We have chosen vendors that publish their own accessibility information, but we cannot guarantee those embedded tools meet the same standard as the rest of the site. If either one blocks you, please use the phone or email route above and we will take care of it directly.
If you run into a barrier on this site — anything you cannot read, reach, or operate — we want to hear about it, and we will help you get what you needed in the meantime.
Email Thebikestudio247@gmail.com or call (562) 371-5967. It helps if you can tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, but none of that is required. We aim to respond within five business days, and we will tell you what we plan to do and when.
Accessibility is not a one-time task. We review the site as we make changes to it, and we act on the feedback we receive. This statement will be updated as that work continues.
